Automating AWS Integration with Amazon Cloud Control API at System Initiative
Abstract
Amazon’s Cloud Control API promises a unified way to manage AWS resources, but gaps in coverage and metadata can make full automation challenging. In System Initiative, we leveraged Cloud Control API to dynamically generate all the necessary assets for seamless AWS integration—while also finding ways to work around its limitations.
This talk explores how we automated asset generation, the challenges we encountered with incomplete API support, and how we supplemented missing data using AWS CloudFormation resource specifications.
